All Planes On - Selected
Overview
All Planes On shows all work planes in the selected component occurrence. Use it when you need to inspect or reference construction geometry beyond the standard three origin planes.
If the component contains a user parameter named ShowPlanes, this command sets it to True. You can use this parameter in component rules to keep certain planes hidden or to drive visibility of specific named planes.
How It Works
- Prompts you to pick one or more component occurrences (selection set allowed).
- For each selected component document:
- Sets ShowPlanes to True (if present).
- Iterates all work planes in the component and sets them Visible = True.
- Updates the document.
- Component rules may still override visibility for specific planes after the command runs.
Usage Instructions
- Select the target component occurrence(s) in the assembly.
- Click All Planes On in the Configure panel.
- Review the component(s) to confirm all work planes are visible.
Troubleshooting
- Some planes remain hidden: Check for component rules or representations that override plane visibility.
- Performance impact: Showing many planes can clutter the view and slow graphics. Use All Planes Off when finished.
- You only needed the origin planes: Use Planes On to show only planes 1–3.
